Personal Trainer Overview
Matt Bridges has been working in San Diego in the health industry since 2007. His mission is to help others realize how good their body can feel. In today's fast-paced society pain often times get ignored until it becomes a more pressing matter. This is not how you have to live. If you are willing to put in the work, he is here to help you take back control of your body and guide you to a healthier life. He uses a variety of rehabilitation techniques to identify faulty movement patterns and muscle imbalances while also incorporating soft tissue therapy to break up adhesions and scar tissue. He also incorporates a variety of strength training exercises and equipment to not only build strength, but also to keep workouts fun and challenging.
Training Philosophy
Your first session he will ask about your goals, past injuries and eating habits. No one has exactly the same goal and starting point, therefore no one should have the same training program. More importantly, he will start you out on a individualized plan based on your fitness level so that you get a great workout, but not a "sore for a week" type of workout. He has helped clients with all types of goals such as weight loss, strength training and sport specific conditioning; as well as medical challenges and conditions including rehabilitation and post surgery rehabilitation.
